Terms of Use

The terms that apply to Anatomy Atlas 3D, the free 3D anatomy atlas for iPhone and iPad, and to anatomyatlas3d.app with its free web quizzes and accounts.

Effective date: 30 October 2026.

These terms apply to Anatomy Atlas 3D ("the app"), published by Le Super Cent ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. The app is also licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement; where these terms and Apple's agreement differ, these terms add to it and do not replace it. How the app handles data is described in our Privacy Policy.

For education only

The app is an educational reference for learning human anatomy. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Do not use it to make decisions about your health or anyone else's. Always consult a qualified health professional.

The 3D models are simplified representations of the human body. Anatomy varies between people, and the models, names and descriptions may contain errors or omissions. We work to keep them accurate but make no guarantee that they are complete or correct.

Quiz accounts on the website

You can play a first quiz session on anatomyatlas3d.app without an account; keeping your progress after that needs a free account. You must be 13 or older to create one, and you are responsible for keeping access to the email address or Google account you sign in with. One account per person. We may suspend an account used to abuse the service (for example automated play or attempts to extract the 3D models). You can delete your account at any time in Account settings.

The 3D models shown in the quizzes are licensed to us for display on the website only. You may not download, extract, copy or redistribute them, in whole or in part.

Content and licences

The app includes material made available by others under open licences, credited in the app under Menu › Licenses, including:

  • anatomical terms and models from Z-Anatomy (CC BY-SA 4.0), based on BodyParts3D, © The Database Center for Life Science (CC BY 4.0);
  • descriptions from Wikipedia contributors (CC BY-SA 4.0), each crediting its article;
  • icons from Health Icons, © Resolve to Save Lives (MIT License);
  • the Mixpanel Swift SDK, © Mixpanel, Inc. (Apache License 2.0), used for anonymous usage statistics.

That material remains under its own licence, which you may use on its terms. The body models are licensed from their rights holders and are not covered by those licences. Everything else in the app, including its software, design and the arrangement of its content, belongs to Le Super Cent. All rights reserved.

Acceptable use

You may use the app for your personal study and teaching. You may not copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer, extract the models from, or redistribute the app or its licensed body models, except where the law or an open licence listed above expressly allows it.

Availability and changes

The app is provided free of charge and "as is". We may update, change or stop offering it, or any of its content, at any time. Some content, such as the female body model, is downloaded from the App Store when first used and needs an internet connection at that moment.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app or from relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
