How this quiz works

The muscles of the face, the jaw and the neck: 39 muscles. Level 1 asks the chewing muscles, the sternocleidomastoid and the main muscles of expression; the next levels go to the small muscles of the lips and nose, the suprahyoid and infrahyoid groups and the other scalenes.

To win a level's medals (1 for Essentials, 2 for Intermediate, 3 for Advanced), get each of its structures right once in this quiz, over as many sessions as you like. Finish all 3 levels to become a Head and neck muscles expert.

Name it: one structure lights up, pick its name. Find it: tap the structure we name. From Intermediate, light up a whole group. In Advanced, type the name. Function: what a muscle you have found does.

Each theme counts on its own: a structure you found in another theme is new again here.
